ACS may initiate contact with a parent by calling them. They may try to do an interview over the phone but will most likely try to set up an appointment to visit your home. They may tell you at this point that you have to come down to their offices. As soon as ACS contacts you, you must state in the strongest terms, that you need to speak to an attorney. The ACS worker will most likely tell you that you must speak to them anyway and you have no right to an attorney.
This is simply not true. The more information you provide to ACS, the more opportunity you give them to manafacture lies about you and your family. Always remain professional and stand on your rights. If ACS has called you, contact us at 917-519-8417 and let us speak for you.
